Dr. Anthony Basel brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the field of critical care medicine. With a dedicated career spanning over a decade in active service with the U.S. Army, Dr. Basel has honed his skills in some of the most challenging and demanding medical environments.


Dr. Basel's journey in critical care medicine began during his residency at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center. Here, he cultivated his passion for providing exceptional care to those in critical need. His commitment to excellence led him to complete a Critical Care Fellowship at the prestigious University of Maryland Medical Center and the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.


Dr. Basel's unwavering dedication to serving our nation's heroes took him to the frontlines, as he undertook a combat deployment to Iraq. This experience allowed him to gain invaluable insights into the complexities of critical care in austere environments.













Leadership and Clinical Excellence


Throughout his career, Dr. Basel has held pivotal roles, including serving as the Medical Director of the Army Burn Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and later as the Medical Director of the Neurotrauma ICU at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. In these leadership positions, he demonstrated his commitment to delivering the highest quality care to patients with complex medical needs.

Dr. Basel's dedication to providing exceptional care extends beyond his military service. He specializes in a range of critical care areas, including Burn, Trauma, Medical and Surgical ICU, Extracorporeal Life Support, and has extensive experience in rural and austere settings.


With over four years of successful telemedicine practice, Dr. Basel continues to make a difference in the lives of patients and healthcare providers alike. His passion for critical care and his unwavering commitment to excellence make him a trusted partner for medical teams seeking expertise in challenging situations.
